Now that Ashton Bitton has been cast in a lead acting role, she needs a head shot. This photo was made in the park across the street from our house.
Ashton Bitton has been cast in a lead role for her school's upcoming production of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Earlier this week, Ashton was one of nearly 10 students at Shahala Middle School in Vancouver, Wash., who auditioned for the role of Narrator. She found out today she got the part!
"All day long, people I didn't even know kept running up to me and saying, 'Ashton Bitton! You're the Narrator!'" Ashton said. "This has been the greatest day ever!"
Several of Ashton's friends who auditioned for the show also got parts.
The play is scheduled to open in May. More reports will follow as Ashton learns her lines, attends rehearsals, and performs.
